Terms of Service
castomAPI — castomapi.com and app.castomapi.com — last updated 7 October 2026
1. Who these terms are with
castomAPI is provided by Castomo prosta spółka akcyjna (Castomo P.S.A.), ul. Powstańców Śląskich 5/212, 53-332 Wrocław, Poland, entered in the National Court Register by the Sąd Rejonowy dla Wrocławia-Fabrycznej we Wrocławiu, VI Wydział Gospodarczy Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego under KRS 0001188843, NIP 8993033031, REGON 542471636, share capital 100 000,00 zł ("we", "us"). Contact: api@castomo.com.
By browsing castomapi.com you accept sections 2, 3 and 12–16. By creating an account or calling the API you accept all of these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
2. The website
castomapi.com describes the castomAPI platform: its endpoints, prices and the ecosystem around it. It is informational. Endpoint testers on the website are mocks built from each endpoint's schema — they send no request, return no real data, and are labelled as such. Nothing on the website creates an account, issues a key or takes payment; that happens at app.castomapi.com.
Figures on the website (endpoint counts, costs, service status) are generated when the site is built and describe the platform at that moment. The live documentation at app.castomapi.com is authoritative; where the two differ, the live documentation applies.
3. Using the website
You may read, link to and quote the website. You may not scrape it in a way that burdens the server, present its content as your own, or use it to attack the platform. The website's code, text and brand marks are ours. Names and logos of third-party platforms belong to their owners and are used only to describe integrations, not to claim endorsement.
4. The service
castomAPI is a metered HTTP API providing utility, file-conversion, generation, scraping and third-party integration endpoints. Access is authenticated with an API key or a dashboard session, and usage is charged against a token balance.
5. Your account and API keys
- You are responsible for everything done with your account and API keys. Treat a key like a password: it is shown once and stored only as a hash, so we cannot recover it.
- Tell us promptly at api@castomo.com if you think a key has been exposed, and revoke it in the dashboard.
- You may not share an account, resell access, or get around rate limits or token metering.
6. Tokens, payment and refunds
- Each endpoint costs a stated number of tokens per call. Tokens are debited after each successful request.
- Paid tokens are bought in advance and do not expire. The free plan tops the balance up each month; unused free tokens do not accumulate.
- A request that fails on our side is not charged. A request that fails because of what you sent, or because a third-party platform refused it, may be charged where work was done.
- A balance may go slightly negative when usage and billing overlap. The shortfall is settled from your next purchase.
- Purchases are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund, including the statutory withdrawal rights of consumers in the European Union.
- We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Tokens already bought keep their value.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use castomAPI to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- send malware, or try to get unauthorised access to any system — ours, a third party's or another customer's;
- interfere with the service, including through automated load beyond your rate limits;
- collect personal data unlawfully, or process it without a legal basis;
- send spam, or publish content that is illegal, harassing, deceptive or sexually explicit involving minors.
Scraping and data-collection endpoints. Some endpoints fetch content from websites and services you choose. You are responsible for having the right to access and use them, including their terms of service, robots directives, copyright and data-protection law. We provide the tool; we do not review your targets.
8. Connected third-party platforms
8.1 General rules
- You connect your own account on a platform (TikTok, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Shopify, Slack and others) through that platform's official consent screen. You must own that account or be authorised to connect it.
- We act on that account only when you call an endpoint, and only within the permissions you granted. You can disconnect at any time in the dashboard, and revoke access in the platform's own settings.
- You remain bound by each platform's own terms and policies, and you are responsible for the content you publish through castomAPI.
- castomAPI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of these platforms.
- We are not responsible for a platform changing its API, its limits or its terms, refusing a request, or suspending your account there.
- How we handle data from connected platforms is described in the Privacy Policy, section 5.
8.2 TikTok
When you use castomAPI with a TikTok account:
- you must comply with the TikTok Terms of Service, the TikTok Community Guidelines and the TikTok Developer Terms that apply to content shared through third-party apps;
- you confirm that you have the rights to every video, sound, image and caption you publish, and that it follows TikTok's rules on commercial and branded content;
- castomAPI publishes a video only when you send it, with the title and privacy setting you choose, and you can check the result with the post-status endpoint;
- TikTok may limit what an app can do (for example, restrict new posts to private visibility until TikTok has reviewed the app). Such limits come from TikTok and are outside our control.
8.3 Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising
When you connect a Meta ad account to castomAPI:
- you must accept and comply with Meta's Terms of Service, the Meta Commercial Terms, the Self-Serve Ad Terms and the Meta Advertising Standards;
- you are the advertiser: campaigns, budgets, targeting and ad content are yours, and so is every charge Meta makes to your ad account's payment method;
- castomAPI acts on your ad accounts only through the requests you send, and only with the access you granted in Meta's own consent screen. You can remove that access at any time in your Facebook settings (Business Integrations);
- Meta may limit, review or reject ads and may restrict what an app can do. Such limits come from Meta and are outside our control.
9. Your content
You keep all rights in the data and content you send through castomAPI. You give us only the permission needed to process it to deliver the service you asked for. We do not use it to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell it.
9A. Request and response storage; personal data in your content
- Storing the content of your requests and responses for the Logs page is optional. It is off by default and starts only when you switch it on in the dashboard (Privacy Policy, section 4.6). You can switch it off, and delete what is stored, at any time.
- You are responsible for the content you send through castomAPI. Do not send personal data of other people unless you have a legal basis to process it and have given those people the information the law requires. If you switch storage on, the content of your calls, including any such personal data, is kept for you for 30 days. If you have no basis for that, do not switch it on.
- For personal data of your own customers, users or other individuals that your content contains, you are the controller and castomAPI (Castomo P.S.A.) acts as your processor: we process it only on your documented instructions, for the purpose of storing the content you asked us to store. Where Art. 28 GDPR requires a data processing agreement, write to api@castomo.com and we will provide one. For castomAPI's own account data (section 4 of the Privacy Policy) we remain the controller.
- We do not use stored requests and responses for our own purposes, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train models.
- Section 11 applies to claims by third parties whose personal data you sent in breach of this section, to the extent the law allows.
10. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using castomAPI and close your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy, section 7). Unused tokens are not refunded on closure, except where the law requires it.
- We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, unlawful use, non-payment, or where continued use threatens the security or stability of the service, or breaks a platform's rules in a way that puts the integration at risk for other users.
- Where circumstances allow, we warn you first. Serious cases — abuse, illegal use, an active attack — may be acted on immediately.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your use of castomAPI in breach of these terms or of the law, including claims by a third party whose website, platform or data you accessed through it.
12. Availability
We aim to keep castomAPI available and reliable, but it is provided "as is", without a service level guarantee. We may carry out maintenance and change or remove endpoints, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can. Some endpoints depend on third-party services outside our control.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data;
- our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or the statutory rights of consumers.
14. Third-party websites
The website and dashboard link to third-party websites and platforms. We are not responsible for their content.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version. Account holders are told by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use castomAPI after that means you accept the change.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes are heard by the courts of Wrocław, Poland, without affecting a consumer's right to bring proceedings in their country of residence where the law gives that right. A consumer in the EU may also use the online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
